AEB: Russia’s new car, LCV sales fall 82% to 27,761 in June

MOSCOW, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) plummeted by 82% on the year to 27,761 in June, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) said in a statement on Wednesday.

In January–June, sales of new cars and LCVs in Russia dropped by 56.9% to 370,228 vehicles.

The sales of Lada cars by car producer AvtoVAZ plunged by 81% on the year to 7,484 units in June and by 63% to 74,714 cars in January–June, the AEB also said.

The figures do not include the sales of BMW and Mercedes-Benz Rus, the association said.
